Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Kobina Selby is an architect with words; crafting imagery that explores themes of childhood adolescence, experiencing America through a first-generation Ghanian-American lens, the double edged sword of being black and a boy, and his own hero’s journey to self-acceptance and realization. He’s a burgeoning poet and creative seeking to spread his wings. Evoking his poetry through mixed media and sharing it on social media, Kobina hopes to inspire others through his poetic sense.
All he asks is that could you lend an ear?
